Born in France in 1987 Charlie Le Mindu began his career as a hairstylist aged thirteen, training at the French Hair Academy after which he became the resident hairdresser at Berlin clubs such as White Trash, RIO and Barbie Deinhoffs performing 'live cuts'. Le Mindu is leading the way in hair couture or rather 'haute coiffure' redefining the word wig by transporting it from the territory of middle aged crisis and illness to the runway. Winter 2009 saw Charlie diversify into fashion design however hair remained the central focus as his designs are an extension of the wigs with many of his garments and accessories being made from hair. Aside from his designs Le Mindu also works with a range of clients from the advertising world to the celebrity domain. His editorial work spans Vogue UK, France and Russia, Dazed and Confused among others while musically Lady Gaga and Florence are just a few famous faces worshipping at the altar of Le Mindu.
